Tell us about your journey into bridal wear.
It was my own wedding that lead me into the bridal business as I was in search for that perfect dress along with my bridesmaid and co-founder Jessica Lee when I quickly realized the brands I was looking for were not available in Hong Kong, as well as the personalized and helpful service that should accompany this once in a lifetime journey.

What differentiates Trinity from other bridal gown boutiques in Hong Kong? In your opinion, what makes the experience different/better?
We make sure staff is knowledgeable and are able to offer service that is personalized and attentive – this is our number one priority. We also carry some of the most sought after bridal designers including Oscar de la Renta Carolina Herrera and Reem Acra, which is of course a great selling point and obviously very important to our clients too.

We hear you travel a lot for bridal shows. Where is your favorite place to go and why?
Our most important market is New York and it is also one of my favorite cities in the world. Every April and October, design powerhouses and industry influencers showcase their collections to media and buyers. During our downtime I love to sneak in a cocktail at Mapache before heading down to the West Village for oysters at the Mermaid Inn or small bites at Extra Virgin.

Any tips for soon-to-be brides out there?
Brides put a lot of pressure on themselves to find “the one”. Our tip is simple; trust your instincts. If it’s still on your mind, then go for it. The dress is important, but its ultimate purpose is to enhance the beauty of the bride so enjoy the process and try to stress less.

If you could choose one iconic bride of all time, who would it be?
Grace Kelly. Countless brides have referenced her look as it embodied true beauty, elegance and timelessness. More recently, Amal Alamuddin was perfection in Oscar de la Renta as she walked down the aisle with George Clooney.

What pieces of lingerie would you recommend to every bride both for the wedding and honeymoon?
For the wedding day, comfort and support are key. The Chantelle Opera Push-Up Basque would be ideal under most gowns and if paired with the Opera Tanga would transition perfectly into the wedding night. For the honeymoon, I would recommend something a little more playful like the Mimi Holliday Bisou Bisou plunge bra, suspender and boy shorts.

What are your plans for Trinity in the future? Are you hoping to expand further than HK and Singapore?
Following the success of Trinity Bridal in Hong Kong, we wanted to expand our vision to bring iconic bridal designs by some of the world’s best fashion houses to the women of South-East Asia and opened a second location at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore in 2012. Being in two major Asia hubs, we feel we are strategically positioned, but are certainly open to the possibility of expansion should the opportunity arise.

What are your go-to pieces of lingerie?
For daywear, nothing beats the OnGosammer t-shirt bra. Eberjey have the most comfortable loungewear, not to mention the designs are adorable, and for something a little more sensual, I love everything from Mimi Holliday.

How would you describe your personal style?
It really depends on what I have planned for the day. When I’m out or attending business meetings, I love very structured dresses that flatter my figure. On regular days, I prefer an edgier look in monochrome tones.

Who are your favorite designers?
Roland Mouret, Jason Wu and the Aussie brand Lover.

What are the top three beauty products you can't live without?
SkinCeuticals hydrating B5 gel, Hera UV Mist Cushion and Shu Uemura eyelash curler.

Describe a day in your life.
When I’m not flying, a typical day starts with replying to emails from our brands in NYC followed by a personal training session with my trainer Louis, meetings with staff and industry partners, appointments with brides, happy hour with girlfriends and dinner with my dear husband, David.

What do you like to do with your downtime?
I enjoy cooking but am unfortunately not very good at it! So when I can, I organize cookouts with friends where I’m the designated cocktail mixologist. My husband and I also love to travel so when we’re not traveling for work, we head to tropical beach destinations for true relaxation.

Do you have any advice for the budding entrepreneurs out there?
Have the desire, will and patience to understand your customer, whatever it takes. Then, have the flexibility and humility to execute this understanding. Entrepreneurship is be the most humbling and rewarding experience for only those who dare to try.
