Let's Talk Lingerie: To Thong or Not To Thong?
Posted on 31 May 2013
With so many different types of bottoms to choose from these days, from briefs to boyshorts, tangas to g-strings, when does a thong become the right choice over others?
The answer is simple: when you need a seamless look. For clothing that's tight, light-colored, sheer or thin, a thong is the best guarantee against the dreaded "Visible Panty Line" (VPL).
There are a few misconceptions about thongs to clarify:
- They are uncomfortable -- NOT TRUE! Well-made thongs use soft, high-quality fabric and sewn with care, making them comfortable in the back and around the hips. When choosing, flip it inside out to make sure the seams don't have rough plastic or rubber parts and are not bulky. Thongs also have wider bands around the hips to avoid digging in. Poorly made thongs will definitely cut in and cause lots of discomfort!
- They are unhygienic -- NOT TRUE! Choose thongs that have a cotton lining or made with ultra-thin micro-fiber for breath-ability and comfort.
Known as the "world's most comfortable thong®," our bestselling Hanky Panky thongs are a stretchy one-size-fits-all, never dig into your skin, and come in every color under the sun. Anyone who says lace thongs are itchy and uncomfortable has obviously never tried one of these. Get one for every day of the week!
If you're looking for a completely invisible look, Commando is your best bet. Stretchy and seamless microfiber or soft cotton with laser-cut edges (no seams!), the Commando thongs are the ultimate solution under slinky dresses and pants. Go for the Thong under most clothing, but for truly sheer, clingy or white clothing, try the Tiny Thong because, well, it's really tiny.
