A Chat with Emily from The Little Bra Company

Smaller-figured girls can't get enough of the sexy Lucia push-up bra and flattering (not flattening!) Elizabeth racerback bra.
Emily Lau visits Sheer for an exclusive interview and we go behind-the-scenes with the foodie-at-heart and mastermind behind the bestselling lingerie label The Little Bra Company.
Name: Emily Lau
Hometown: Los Angeles, CA
Before I started The Little Bra Company… I was a TV writer and producer for about 10 years.
I started designing lingerie because… I was always on the search for a well-fitting bra that was cute and sexy but still gave me the shape that I wanted... sometimes I would find something close, and alter it at home so it would fit better. Shortly thereafter, The Little Bra Company was born!
I get inspiration for my collections from… my friends and my customers who become my girlfriends. The bras are all named after friends and people who influenced me and believed in me when I first started the company. Even though they are women's names, some of them are actually men's names converted into women's names!
One of the most memorable experiences as a designer… when someone at a party asked me what I do and I said I was the owner of The Little Bra Company. She pointed to her bra and exclaimed, "I'm wearing the Little Bra Company!" It was a great moment.
My passion other than lingerie is… food. Food is a huge part of my life. It can be fine dining or local food stalls. In fact, this morning I went to a food stall and had macaroni with tomato and a fried egg on top (ed note: very chinese breakfast!), and toast with condensed milk and butter!
Love her line as much as we do? Wanna find out more about Emily?
